Awarded Major, Multimillion-Dollar Contract
for Interactive Whiteboards in Mexico
COLUMBIA, MD – January 9, 2006 – GTCO
CalComp, Inc. announces today that it has been
awarded a major, multimillion-dollar contract for interactive
whiteboards through its Mexican distributor, Inteltech. The contract,
for over 24,000 InterWrite SchoolBoards, will support the Mexican
government’s “Enciclomedia” project, which will provide every primary
school in the country with the equipment required to access digital
resources for teaching and learning.
The Mexican government, through the “Enciclomedia” project, is building
a strong foundation for its students by providing a leading-edge
learning environment in classrooms throughout the country. The
InterWrite SchoolBoard is a
primary interactive instructional tool that will be integrated with
various classroom technology products,
including computers, projectors and printers,
in classrooms throughout Mexico.
